She became a global pop sensation after releasing her hit song in late 1999.

But this Australian singer is completely unrecognisable compared to her days as a fiery redhead in the 2000s.

The 42-year-old, who was born in Melbourne but currently lives in Los Angeles, appeared on Today Extra to chat about her latest music release.

Wearing a wide-brimmed hat and a black T-shirt, the songstress was all smiles as she flashed a sleeve of tattoos on her right arm.

Her dark brunette hair was styled in loose waves and a blunt fringe, contrasting from her signature look nearly 25 years ago.

The woman in question is Vanessa Amorosi, who rose to fame with her smash hit Absolutely Everybody.

Vanessa stunned fans with her glamorous appearance while speaking with Today Extra hosts David Campbell and Belinda Russell about her latest single release Wolf, which was co-written with Dave Stewart from Eurythmics.

She also spoke about her upcoming album Memphis Love, which is set to release in November.

‘This is a record that I’d been working on for quite some time,’ she told the hosts.

‘It’s super versatile. It’s bluesy. It’s gospely, it’s got a lot of funk. I’m so excited for everyone to hear this record.’

Vanessa’s style has changed significantly since the late ’90s, when she sported red hair and a fringe.

Vanessa found fame in 1999 with her breakout hit Have a Look, but it was her follow-up single Absolutely Everybody that rocketed her to stardom.

The catchy anthem reached the top 10, was certified double platinum, and became the longest charting Australian single by an Australian female artist.

Internationally, it made it into the top 10 in several European countries, including the UK and Germany.

Vanessa is married to mixed martial artist Rod Busby, with whom she owns a gym.

The couple have a seven-year-old son named Killian.
