She’s known to most Australians for her long-running role on Home and Away for three years.

But fans may not know the role led her to have a budding Hollywood career, as she’s set to star in a new romantic comedy to be filmed on Queensland’s K’gari Fraser Island next month.

The actress, 32, was seen out and about at North Bondi in Sydney on Thursday, going for a walk with a takeaway coffee in hand.

She kept a low profile, wearing black Nike cap and a black bomber jacket over a black dress.

Her hair was styled out and straight, while she opted for a makeup-free face for the outing.

The actress in question is Rhiannon Fish, who played April Scott on Home and Away from 2010 to 2013.

Rhiannon is set star in an upcoming rom-com, titled He Loves Me Not, and will play an American contestant on a Bachelor-type reality show who enters the dating competition for the money – but ends up falling in love.

The Australian produced film will also feature 58-year-old Georgie Parker, beloved star of Channel Seven’s classic 80s soap A Country Practice.

Georgie and Rhiannon also co-starred on Home and Away together, in which Georgie plays Roo Stewart.

Queensland filmmaker Tam Sainsbury will direct the film and is currently finalising locations on K’gari Fraser Island ahead of filming in October reports The Courier Mail.

Famed for its spectacular scenery, Fraser Island lies off the Queensland coast 250kms north of Brisbane.

Tam plans to use the upscale Kingfisher Bay Resort as a major location for the film.

‘There are so many beauty spots around the island – we’re really lucky,’ she told The Courier Mail on Wednesday.

‘Basically it’s about an American actor living and working on K’gari [Fraser Island].

‘She wants to get into an acting course but she doesn’t have money, then she finds out reality show is coming to the island and she’s asked to join the show as a wildcard.

‘But along the way falls love with the lead guy.’

This is the second film Tam has filmed on the famed tourist destination in the last twelve months, having completed 13 Summers with Bec Hewitt and Georgie Parker earlier this year.

Rhiannon, meanwhile, rose to fame in 2010 after playing the character of April in Seven’s soap Home and Away.

The Canadian-born actress later starred in the Disney TV series As the Bell Rings.

She recently appeared in the Amazon Prime rom-com movie For the Love of Chocolate.
