Chaichanhda said the fire spread quickly at her fourplex apartment, completely destroying her neighbors’ home.
As the fire continued to inch closer to Chaichanhda’s apartment, her pooch jumped into action and alerted her from outside of the building.
‘Little did I know she was trying to warn us of the fire. I got out of bed to see what was going on. At that moment I opened the back door and Sasha ran into our home, straight into our bedroom,’ Chaichanhda explained on GoFundMe.
Chaichanhda said she then realized her cousins’ home next door was on fire and she immediately ran into her bedroom.
That’s where she witnessed Sasha trying to save her daughter by dragging her off the bed by her diaper.
‘Thanks to Sasha we were able to get out safe and call 911. We got everyone out their homes and to safety. I owe Sasha my life and my children’s. She saved us all. She is our hero. Without her, we probably would’ve never made it out,’ Chaichanhda said.
Chaichanhda said once she let Sasha (pictured) inside, the dog immediately ran to her baby and tried to drag her to safety (they are pictured together)

But Chaichanhda’s apartment was destroyed in the blaze, along with her cousin’s home.
The family is now staying with relatives who live in one of the surviving apartments.
Chaichanhda established the GoFundMe account in order to raise money to help her and her family get back on their feet after the devastating fire.
She said the funds would also go toward getting clothes, shoes and food for her family and their hero, Sasha.
