Hersha Parady dead at 78: Little House on the Prairie star passes away after brain tumor battle

Little House on the Prairie star Hersha Parady has passed away following a brain tumor battle. 

The TV actress – who played the Walnut Grove schoolteacher Alice Garvey – was 78. 

Hersha died on Wednesday at her son’s home in Norfolk, Virginia. Her son Jonathan Peverall confirmed the sad news to The Hollywood Reporter. 

The retired star had been battling a brain tumor for some time, and there had been a GoFundMe account set up to help deal with medical expenses.
