High-flying CEO swaps her tummy roll for rock-hard abs

A high-flying businesswoman has undergone a remarkable body transformation by swapping her ‘tummy roll’ for a six pack at the age of 55.

Angela Middleton, from Kent, has achieved a body that twenty-somethings would be envious of, and says she’s living proof that anyone can get a six-pack if they put their mind to it.

The 55-year-old has spent a gruelling 12 months transforming her body to reveal a new leaner, stronger physique and dropped an impressive 22 lbs.

She told MailOnline FEMAIL: ‘My determination to change shows that a body transformation is possible with even the busiest of schedules. If I can do it, so can others.’

The CEO and founder of MiddletonMurray, an apprenticeships and life strategy company, says her fitness regime has also helped her take on challenges in her busy working life.

To attain her new look, Angela signed up to UP Fitness (upfitness.co.uk) and its Female Fat Loss programme.

And despite her hectic schedule she managed to fit in an hour of heavy weightlifting four times a week alongside a complete diet overhaul.

Angela, who also runs podcast iwant2ba.com, said: ‘I started weight training at UP Fitness following a recommendation from my son – my previous regime wasn’t giving me the results I wanted.

‘A year later, I’ve lost 10kg – and the dreaded tummy roll – and gained a six-pack.

‘At 5ft 2in, I now weigh 7 stone 5 lbs, eat 2,000 calories a day including an even balance of carbs, fat and protein and am in better shape than I was even in my twenties.

‘I’m an advocate for the mantra that a healthy body supports a healthy mind and this crosses over into your working life as well.

‘You can’t expect to automatically have a positive mindset. Like fitness, you must work on it to progress.’

She added: ‘Gaining abs is not a vanity project, I have renewed vigour to help my team fulfil their life potential and extend the impact we have on thousands of people both nationally and globally.’

Angela used a technique known as ‘biohacking’ – making changes to your lifestyle to ‘hack’ your body’s biology – which she believes has helped her to optimise her hormones, allowing her to control hormone-related weight gain.
