A high school student who posted a message on Snapchat is being investigated by police.
The Quincy High School student allegedly posted a message on the social media application saying that people better ‘learn how to walk in the halls or Quincy high is gonna (sic) turn into Las Vegas, except no one will escape,’ The Patriot Ledger reported.
There was no immediate threat to the school, Quincy Police Captain John Dougan said Wednesday.

He said they are are investigating and have a copy of the post allegedly made by the student, who has not been publicly named.
Quincy Schools Superintendent Richard DeChristofaro said a message was sent to parents notifying them of the situation.
‘A student may post something that may be alarming in any way or that may cause our students to have some anxiety or concern and we deal with it appropriately,’ DeChristofaro told the newspaper.
DeChristofaro would not reveal what grade the student was in.

He also would not say if the student had been disciplined as a result of the post.
‘We don’t talk about these things with the media,’ he told the Ledger.
‘If parents do call we can try to answer their questions as best as we can. We know our students are safe and we’ll continue on with school life.’
