Hilarious footage emerges of man dressed in a suit committing a bizarre act inside Burnley Tunnel at night: ‘Christmas parties are in full swing’

Hilarious footage captured the bizarre moment a man dressed in a suit was caught running through a busy tunnel.

The well-dressed man was spotted running through Burnley Tunnel in Melbourne last week.

A passing commuter captured the odd encounter before sharing the video to Reddit on Friday.

Footage showed the man bolting through the tunnel in his leather shoes while sticking close to the wall on the right of the tunnel.

He appeared unfazed as the commuter recording the incident overtook him.

‘Was on my way home tonight and there was a middle aged man running through the Burnley Tunnel,’ they wrote.

‘The man was in a suit, what do we think is the story here?’

Transport officials said they are trying to identify the man and find out how he came to be running in the tunnel with social media users sharing their own theories.

A man was seen running through the three-lane Burnley Tunnel in Melbourne last week ans Aussies have been trying to figure what he was doing

‘When you get Google maps directions to crown but forget to switch from car to on foot,’ one wrote.

‘I would bet somebody has booted him out of the car mid tunnel,’ another said.

A third added: ‘I see the Christmas parties are in full swing’.

Many Aussies saw the humour with some convinced the man was a ‘superhero’ or a spy.

‘OMG it’s Jason Bourne,’ one wrote.

‘Tom Cruise!’ a second said.

‘Serving main character energy, good for him,’ another added.

Others were more concerned about the quality of the air he was breathing in.

‘RIP his lungs,’ one wrote.

‘He’s in big trouble, there’s no eTag on his suit,’ one said.

Some were impressed with his form.

‘Props for running in formal shoes as well my man. That’s right up there on the difficulty scale,’ one wrote.

Another added: ‘He has pretty good form though’.
