This is the hilarious moment a young black girl wakes up from surgery, high on her painkiller medications, thinking she’s a different skin color.

Sixteen-year-old Faith Martin woke up from surgery thinking she was white saying: ‘I want to be black’.

The one-minute clip captured in Texas on July 25 shows the moment Martin wakes from her surgery and adamantly compares her skin to her relatives nearby.

The clip starts with a sleepy Martin giving the startling statement: ‘I want to be black.’

Then she eyes her arm’s skin and begins to dance while lying in her hospital bed as her family members chuckle at her bizarre behavior.

Later she lovingly holds her mother’s face and says: ‘We’re not the same color anymore.’

Her family members in the room erupt in laughter at her wild statement as another relative says ‘Look at your momma’s hand’ for Martin to compare.

But the stubborn teen simply purses her lips and shakes her head. 

‘We the same color,’ her mother assures.  

Her brother who filmed the incident shared it online saying: ‘My sister got her surgery and she woke up higher than the Himalayas.’  

‘I guess the medication had her still intoxicated so she started hallucinating claiming her skin to be white instead of black.’
