Hilarious moment Mercury guard Sophie Cunningham chugs a margarita as she stuns courtside at WNBA All-Star Game

WNBA player Sophie Cunningham created a hilarious moment at Saturday night’s WNBA All-Star Game as she chugged a margarita while sitting courtside.

The Phoenix Mercury guard was on hand in her home arena to watch teammates Britney Griner, Kahleah Copper and Diana Taurasi suit up for Team USA.

And while Cunningham wasn’t involved in the game herself, she entertained the crowd by quickly downing her margarita during a dead ball when the camera panned to her.

The 27-year-old had to stop herself from laughing while she was still swallowing her drink, as she was put on the big screen during the funny moment.

And fellow WNBA player Crystal Dangerfield, whom she was sitting with, humorously wiped Cunningham’s face after she was finished chugging her drink.

The Mercury’s Instagram page posted a video of Cunningham’s antics, writing, ‘Is that a spicy sopharita in your hand @sophie_cham?’

The clip has more than 243,000 views and over 17,000 likes since being posted last night.

Cunningham, a former college player with Missouri, has turned heads with some of her pregame outfits this season.

She went viral last month when she posted a set of ‘before and after’ photos of herself arriving at Footprint Center, along with pics of herself on court.

In that instance, she posed in the tunnel with an oversized Arizona Coyotes jersey – without pants – along with a pair of Celine sunglasses.

On Saturday, she opted for a strapless black top and blue jeans, as she enjoyed the game with Dangerfield and also Mercury associate head coach Kristi Tolliver.

The pair’s team have had an up-and-down first half of the season, as the Mercury are currently 13-12 and sixth out of 12 teams.

The WNBA All-Stars defeated Team USA on Saturday, 117-109.
