Incredibly, somehow Jeff Adams managed to achieve both, becoming an internet sensation in the process.
Adams found himself in the position that so many baseball enthusiasts have dreamed of, with a home run ball heading straight to his hands, but there was one problem – he was double-fisting two beers at the time.
Rather than risk spilling a sacred drop of his – likely expensive – stadium beers, Adams tightened his grip around the cans, puffed out his chest, and took the ball to the stomach, guiding down towards his feet.

Reflecting on the inspiring moment after the game, Adams told WUSA9 his five minutes of fame was ‘fantastic’.
‘I was sitting down, my wife went upstairs to get some food … all of a sudden the ball got hit, I had two beers in my hand, the ball was coming, I watched it, angled, put my chest down, that was it.’
‘Right there – easy,’ he said, pointing the ball the upper-right of his body where it hit.

Unbelievably, Adams also almost caught another home run when Juan Soto went deep in the eighth inning.
Alvarez’s second-inning strike put the Astros up 2-0 on the Nationals early in a pivotal Game 5 of the World Series, which is now tied at 2-2
