The Milwaukee Bucks’ win over the Boston Celtics on Thursday was so one-sided that TNT’s TV crew was forced to swap games in the middle of its NBA broadcast.

After the Bucks went up 100-62 in the third quarter, Boston threw in the towel and rested their starters – prompting Milwaukee to do the same.

With what was supposed to be a marquee matchup turning into a clinic, TNT’s NBA crew was forced to search for excitement elsewhere.

‘This game is out of hand obviously, 100-62 is the score in Milwaukee,’ said NBA on TNT host Ernie Johnson. ‘Celtics (are) resting the rest of their starters for the rest of the night.’

‘So we’re thinking let’s see what else is going on in the league.’

Unfortunately, the next most-hyped match-up – between the Thunder and the Trailblazers – was equally uncompetitive.

‘Oklahoma City, by the way, is up 36 at the half so we’re not going there,’ Johnson continued. ‘We’ll try the Knicks and Mavs, a 47-28 game but it’s closer than what’s going on in the mean streets.’

Despite their stars sitting on the bench with the comfort of a huge lead, the Bucks did not seem to appreciate the network’s decision switch away from their game.

‘Wyd (What you doing) @NBAonTNT,’ the Bucks’ official account posted on X.

Milwaukee went on to secure a 135-102 victory with Bobby Portis Jr. coming off the bench to lead scoring with 28 points.

Giannis Antetokounmpo tallied a double-double with 24 points and 12 rebounds, while Damian Lillard amassed 24 points, four rebounds and four assists.

On the other hand, the Celtics’ big three struggled. Jaylen Brown, Jayson Tatum and Jrue Holiday had ten, seven and six points, respectively.

Milwaukee dominated their Eastern Conference rivals in every statistic except for free throws. The Bucks outrebounded the Celtics, 44-31, and tallied 34 assists to Boston’s 22.

Despite the loss, Boston remains on top of the East with a 29-9 record. Milwaukee, 26-12, sits below them in second.
