Who needs a removalist? Hilarious moment two cyclists are spotted moving a COUCH through a busy roundabout on their bikes
- Two men in Sydney’s south-west literally stopped traffic to move a couch
- Road users slowly drove past the duo, who clearly don’t believe in removalists
- Transporting a couch on pushbikes is illegal, and they also didn’t wear helmets
A couple of men in Sydney’s west devised a very unique way to transport home a couch on Saturday.
Hilarious footage has emerged showing two savvy blokes in Macquarie Fields using bikes to move a sofa, posted online by 7 News.
The pair, who appeared to be very proud of their weekend ingenuity, were perhaps fortunate not to attract the attention of local police – carrying a couch on two pushbikes is illegal.
To make matters worse, they also appeared to not be wearing helmets as they held up traffic at a busy intersection near Campbelltown.
The pair are not the first to employ a more creative approach to moving.
In August last year, a man in New York won the hearts of fellow commuters after he successfully managed to move a sofa on the subway.
He then proceeded to sit on his prized possession in between stops before presumably shifting it to his lounge room.
The two men (pictured) clearly didn’t believe in hiring a removalist to move the couch
