Sustainable living has surged in popularity over the past few years and with it, second-hand shopping has become a huge trend.
Charity shops, Depop and Facebook Marketplace are guaranteed destinations for quirky and unique pieces you cannot find anywhere else – but sometimes the vendors go a bit too far with the bizarre creations on offer.
A gallery curated by Bored Panda is proving just that, with people from around the world selling downright outrageous creations on Facebook Marketplace, including a wooden fireplace and a perfectly seasoned Dorito.
In the US someone attempted to flog a ‘Genuine Apple watch’ for $450, and to be fair to them they didn’t exaggerate about their fruity creation.
Apple-solute bargain! In the UK, someone wanted to sell their genuine apple watch. However with probably only costing 40p to make, perhaps they are asking a bit too much
Elsewhere, a seller from the UK offered a pair of shoes where the heels were crafted to look like balloons.
In a wonderfully brazen attempt to style things out, a motorist in the US put a car riddled with bullet holes up for sale online and tried to claim they were ‘custom air vents’.
You have to give them top marks for creativity, even if nobody is likely to make an offer!
And if for some bizarre reason you needed a giant rock to complete your home decor, one was for sale on Facebook in the US for the princely sum of $1,500.
