Hoda Kotb shares adorable photo of her daughters Haley and Hope playing dress-up in her clothes

Hoda Kotb has revealed that her young daughters are already raiding her wardrobe.

The Today co-anchor, 57, took to Instagram on Thursday to share an adorable snapshot of her children Haley Joy, five, and Hope Catherine, three, dressed up in her clothes — high heels and all.

‘Somebody raided mommy’s closet,’ she captioned the photo, which shows her smiling and holding hands with her girls while they play dress-up.

Haley and Hope were both wearing their mother’s sweatshirts and jeans that were cuffed multiple times to fit their pint-size frames.

Kotb seemed to have some extra styling herself as one leg of her olive green joggers was pushed up to her knee.

She and her oldest daughter, Haley, were both smiling brightly for the camera, while Haley shyly put her hand over her mouth.

The journalist shares her adopted daughters with her ex-fiancé Joel Schiffman, 64, and is now a single mom following their split earlier this year.

Kotb recently opened up about ‘one of the scary parts’ of being an older mother, saying ‘you do the math a lot’ and wonder ‘how much time you have.’

‘As an older mom, I think there are a lot of other beautiful parts and challenges too. I see all the good parts about being an older mom,’ she told her co-host Jenna Bush Hager on the Today show last month.

‘Like, I’m in my own skin, I know who I am, I’ve got much more patience and love and all that stuff. But along with that also comes the fact that you’re an older mother.’

‘You can’t help it — sometimes people will come up and say, “Wait, you’re their mother?” And it gives you this pause for a second. And your kids look around like, “Huh? What are you talking about?” It’s a tough thing to do.

‘I remember thinking, “Why does that bother me? I’m not embarrassed to be [my age]. I’m happy I’m my age. It’s the perfect storm of my life. Two kids, this time, this job,”‘ she continued. ‘Someone was saying, “It gets greatest later” — it does get greater later, but in between, there are these moments that you feel an ouch.’

The mother of two said she doesn’t care if someone thinks she is ‘too old’ to be a mother, but those types of comments remind her that she may have less time with her children than other parents

‘One of the scary parts about being an older mom is wondering how much time you have. That is a big thought and worry,’ she said. ‘You do the math a lot and that’s something I don’t like doing because it’s scary.’

Kotb explained that she is happy to be her age, but she gets questioned about having two young daughters. She said people have come up to her and asked, 'Wait, you're their mother?'

Kotb explained that she doesn’t want to ‘avoid’ or ‘ignore’ how much time she has left with her kids, but then ‘something magical happened’ when she was spending time with her own mother, Sameha Kotb.

‘My mom came to visit me and I looked at her and I said, “At least 30 years more. At least.” That’s 35 for Haley. That’s 33 for Hope,’ she said, getting emotional. ‘But that makes me feel very full.’

Kotb, who was diagnosed with breast cancer when she was 42 years old, came out of treatment unable to conceive and thought motherhood wasn’t in the cards for her.

‘I remembered looking up and seeing Sandra Bullock talk about her adoption on-screen,’ she told Bush Hager of the actress, who has two adopted children, Louis, 12, and Laila, 10.

‘You know what I Googled? “How old is Sandra Bullock?” I was like, “Oh my God, she’s my age, and she’s delightful and vibrant and full of everything.”

‘I thought to myself, “You don’t know when your moment is happening. You don’t know,”‘ she said. ‘But when your moment’s there, you take it.’

Kotb has previously opened up about how nervous she was to broach the topic of adoption with Schiffman, her then partner, but he was immediately on board with her desire to grow their family.

They adopted their daughter Haley Joy in 2017, and two years later, they welcomed their second baby girl, Hope Catherine.

Bush Hager reminded Kotb that she ‘got her babies right on time.’

Kotb announced on the Today show in January that she and Schiffman had split after eight years together, saying they were ‘better as friends and parents’ to their daughters.

‘It’s not like something happened. They say sometimes relationships are meant to be there for a reason, a season or a lifetime, this was for a season,’ she explained.

Kotb spoke to DailyMail.com about the breakup at the Today show’s 70th-anniversary celebration last month, saying she doesn’t have any regrets.

‘We all make choices that are for us, and I feel strong and I feel good about my decision,’ she said. ‘I’m just kind of marching on with life.’

When asked if she was dating, she explained that her main priority is her daughters at this moment in time.

‘No, I think, especially when you have kids, you take a beat,’ she said. ‘I’m focusing on them.’
