Famous footballers know a thing or two about the limelight, but it appears their daughters welcome fandom as well.
With the likes of Dennis Wise and Frank Leboeuf having moved upstairs and away from the daily glare, the next generation have stepped in front of the cameras.
It turns out that a couple of former footballers’ daughters are talented at horse riding – a sport where you really don’t want a dressing room scrap with your four-legged team-mate.
Others have been absorbed by wanderlust and treat fans to glimpses of captivating locations.
One or two even seem to quite like football.
And what do they all have in common? A public existence on Instagram, giving insights into their lives in a way their fathers never could back in the good old days before social media.
Gemma Owen (Michael Owen)
Gemma Owen starred on the 2022 series of Love Island and has since seen her fame rocket as she now has more than 1.9 million followers on Instagram.
That’s quite the growth when considering that she had 60,000 followers ahead of the show in the summer of that year.
But not only that. Owen has the distinction of being an international dressage rider, having represented Team GB, and has a separate account for that pursuit with nearly 250,000 followers.
Gemma turned out for the British team at the junior European Championships in 2021 aged just 17 and has done much to raise the profile of the sport, posting about her life travelling Europe and competing.
She started her own brand of swimwear, OG Beachwear, in 2020, venturing into fashion to diversify her portfolio in case the dressage does not provide a viable long-term income stream.
Gemma Owen, 20, has turned her hand to many things – dressage, modelling, and starting her own swimwear brand
Her dad, Michael Owen, a former England star, has always been ‘unbelievably supportive’
The 20-year-old is also a dressage rider and has almost 250,000 followers on her Instagram account dedicated to the sport
Gemma says her dad has always been supportive, and given his love of horses he encourages her with dressage, while her mum, Louise, has backed her with her business goals.
She told MailOnline last year: ‘My dad has pushed more with sport but my mum on the other side has always drilled it into me and my sisters how important it is to have something of your own and stand on your own two feet financially.
‘They are both unbelievably supportive but I would say my mum has encouraged more of the business side.’
Gemma has also modelled for PrettyLittleThing in the past, proving she has turn her hand to a number of different things.
On Season Eight of Love Island, she entered the villa on the first day and was eventually crowned runner-up alongside Luca Bish, though they have since split up.
Hollie Shearer (Alan Shearer)
Hollie Shearer, 28, is a singer-songwriter whose top single on Spotify has garnered more than 1.3million listens.
She is also an Instagram influencer with 84,000 followers and regularly shares updates about her glitzy canters around the world.
Hollie is in a power couple with English rugby player Joe Marchant, who plays for the Paris-based Stade Francais.
And so Hollie has a wide-ranging life, sharing snaps from sun-kissed beaches, glamorous quarters of the French capital, and rugby matches, where he supports her partner.
She enjoys a successful career with fashion brand Pretty Little Thing and has been pictured in the past with Beth Dolling, another singer-songwriter who also models for PrettyLittleThing and is in a relationship with rugby player Marcus Smith.

She has had a passion for singing since an early age and her Spotify profile lists country music as her main influence, with legends such as Dolly Parton serving as inspiration.
Hollie is an alumnus of BIMM, a prestigious British music institute.
Maria Guardiola (Pep Guardiola)
It won’t always be easy being the daughter of a Treble-winning manager, but Maria Guardiola welcomes the spotlight with calm.
While her father has been growing his legacy at Manchester City, Maria has been boosting her Instagram reach and has now stockpiled 859,000 fans.
The Spaniard is known for her jet-setting frolics across the globe and ventures to lush events, such as a showcase run by Cartier in Windsor Park.
She also had a front-row seat at the F1 season finale in Abu Dhabi, taking a snap with nobody other than Mercedes boss Toto Wolff.
Her holidays have taken her to the pyramids of Cairo, the bright lights of New York, and the rustic hills of Tuscany.

There are also plenty of plush restaurants and eateries on her Instagram as she satiates her appetite for travel

Merely viewing Sophia’s Instagram, one can feel reasonably well-travelled.
The model and influencer has interned for Victoria Beckham, Dior and Helmut Lang while also being a fashion student.
She has also used her audience to promote swimwear brands such as iBilovesyou.
Alongside all that, she still makes time to get down to the Etihad Stadium and cheer on her father in the dugout – and Man City could probably use the encouragement at the moment.
Sira Martinez (Luis Enrique)
Sira Martinez is the daughter of current PSG manager Luis Enrique, who won titles with both Real Madrid and Barcelona as a player.
The 23-year-old is a showjumper and equestrian rider whose Instagram feed is bursting with her love for horses and travel.
To her herd of more than 355,000 Instagram devotees, Sira flaunts a pastiche of city break memories, horse-riding triumphs, nights out with friends, and football ground views.
She was, for a time, in a high-profile relationship with Spain forward Ferran Torres, although that romance sadly broke down earlier this year.

She was in a high-profile relationship with Ferran Torres for a couple of years but the pair broke up earlier this year
She also posts pictures from various football matches, and can be seen here taking in Real Madrid’s Santiago Bernabeu
While her father, Enrique, was Spain manager, he would regularly joke about selecting Torres, claiming his daughter might ‘cut his head off’ if he didn’t pick the ex-Manchester City man for the national team.
Sira and Torres met while he was at City and made their relationship public after the 2020 European Championships.
It is believed Torres, bought by Barcelona in 2022, moved to Spain to be closer to Martinez.
However, their relationship reportedly lots its fizzle and Sira wanted to focus on her own sporting career.
Bianca Gascoigne (Paul Gascoigne’s adopted daughter)
Bianca Gascoigne, 37, is the daughter of television personality Sheryl Gascoigne and the adopted daughter of former footballer Paul.
She is well-known in her own right as she works as a model and has taken part in TV shows such as Italy’s Dancing With The Stars.
Bianca claimed a respectable second place in that outing, proving her talent on the dance floor in 2021.
However, you have to go quite far back to trace the roots of her fame – in fact, her career under the lights has almost had as much longevity as Paul’s did on the pitch.
It turns out Love Island isn’t a new phenomenon but was actually airing back in 2006, when Bianca won the second series on ITV.

She has a loyal following of 341,000 Instagram followers and welcomed her baby with partner Arron Wright earlier this year
Baby Blake Sunshine has brought new meaning into Bianca’s life and her duaghter has already been living the influencer lifestyle
Since then, Bianca has made countless outings on the screen – be it in Celebrity Big Brother, Celebrity Road Trip, or even X Factor, though she failed to make it to bootcamp.
Alongside that, Bianca has been modelling for magazines, calendar, and of course on her Instagram page, which has 341,000 followers.
She also turns her hand to DJing and posted a snap earlier this year of her jockeying the disc at the launch party for Celebs Go Dating.
Earlier this year, she welcomed her first baby, Blake Sunshine, with her partner Arron Wright and shared the joyous occasion with her fans.
Posting photos taken moments after her daughter was born, she showed her newborn nestled in a cot and wrapped in a pink blanket, and a glimpse of her brother Regan holding his niece for the first time.
She has integrated baby Blake Sunshine into her Instagram grid seamlessly, showcasing her gratitude at having a daughter.
Amber Wise (Dennis Wise)
Chelsea icon Dennis Wise spent most of his career in the top flight, but it appears his daughter was more into Casa Amor than Casa Stamford Bridge.
Amber, 19, was part of this year’s Love Island cohort and entered the show on day 27.
Going on the show while still a student, she spent 17 days on-screen before the public decided to vote her and Josh off the island just a couple of days after they got together.
Sources claim that dad Dennis was supportive of his daughter joining the show.

And speaking exclusively with MailOnline, she said that her dad had warned her to ‘stay away’ from the opportunistic athletes.
She said: ‘I have had a few people slide into my DMs but I can’t say names but there are a lot of footballers, a couple from up north and some from down here. My dad is not impressed he was like: “No stay away, stay away from footballers.”‘
Away from television matters, Amber has courted some of society’s upper-crust events such as fashion shows and the National Television Awards,
She is currently studying graphic communication at the University of the Arts London.

Alex Le Tissier (Matt Le Tissier)
Alex Le Tissier, the self-described ‘queen of Southampton’, wears the Saints shirt in a rather different way to how her father-in-law Matt used to don it.
Over lockdown, she turned to OnlyFans as a source of income.
She is married to Mitch, Matt’s son, who has a background in insurance.
Her explicit venture led to a family rift, with ex-England player Matt cutting ties with his son and his family, telling The Sun: ‘I do not want anything to do with them anymore’.
Despite being in a relationship with Mitch for more than ten years, she asked him if she could download a dating app to meet other men and he agreed, even actively helping her sift through people on Bumble.
In a break from the value of monogamy, she said: ‘It’s going to be a lot more fun now I don’t need to live my entire life with the same person over and over.’

In 2021, Alex ran 130 miles in five days to raise more than £10,000 for two charities, but claimed she was axed from her ambassador role for a charity called Southampton Doing It For The Kids in 2022 due to a leaked explicit video.
Her Instagram also reveals her to be a fan of festivals and she shared photos from Glastonbury this year, including from Elton John’s headline act.
