The outing comes after Holly’s co-host Phillip Schofield revealed he spent the afternoon in the pub with his This Morning colleagues after ITV studios were evacuated due to a suspicious package, which was reportedly addressed to Lorraine Kelly when it was picked up by ITV security, sparking the evacuation.

Host Phillip took to social media to confirm that the threat was a false alarm, and he had spent the afternoon in the pub with his TV colleagues after filming came to an abrupt end.

He wrote: ‘Back in my dressing room @thismorning after a security alert. All OK and thankfully a false alarm.

‘Thank you to our team @thisistvc and @metpolice_uk for being amazing… I’ve been to the pub with everyone, now back to get my house keys!’

A source later told The Sun that a box addressed to Lorraine had left her ‘very concerned’ and sparked the evacuation of the west London studios.

A source said: ‘Word quickly got around that whatever the box contained, it was addressed to Lorraine. Everyone at ITV loves her – so people were upset and very concerned over the whole incident. Fortunately everyone is safe, but it shakes everyone up.’

ITV went off air for more than hour as staff were evacuated from the West London television studio.

This Morning and Loose Women both tweeted a statement in the wake of the scare, writing: ‘We apologise for the break in live programming today. We are currently running pre-recorded content and hope to be back with you soon.’

A spokesperson for ITV said: ‘Due to a suspected security alert, the building which ITV daytime broadcast from was safely evacuated.

‘The issue has been resolved and staff have returned to the building following the all clear from the police. We apologise for the interruption to the schedule and we have now returned to normal programming.’
