Holly Willoughby wows pencil skirt on This Morning

She left This Morning viewers divided with her fashion choice during Tuesday’s show.

But Holly Willoughby appeared to win over fans as she slipped into a chic skirt and shirt combination for a rather raucous installment of the ITV daytime show on Wednesday, which saw the TV presenter sip wine on air.

The 36-year-old’s style was given fans’ seal of approval as she wowed in a striped pencil skirt and fitted shirt.

‘Much better than yesterday!’ one complimented, before another chimed: ‘Absolutely love your outfit.’

It came after Holly’s previous look – comprised of a brown turtleneck and a billowing patterned midi skirt – was dubbed as ‘frumpy’ by some watchers.

‘Horrendous’, ‘Not the best we be seen you in,’ one said of her autumnal style, before another slammed: ‘Yes a bit frumpy and not a nice colour on you’.

Wednesday’s sartorial hit came as Holly put on a rather excitable display alongside her co-host Phillip Schofield during today’s show.

The Celebrity Juice star garnered laughs during a segment which saw her sip on Blue Nun as she pretended to misunderstand that boy band Blue would later appear with a group of nuns.

The star was also left in stitches when she accidentally alluded to the non-monogamous sexual act of swinging during an awkward mix up of words.

Elsewhere on the show, the hosts spoke with boy band Blue, who weren’t afraid to open up about the darker days the group suffered.

Speaking about the band’s new autobiography, Lee Ryan confessed: ‘I hated doing this book, I burst out crying. Talking about rehab I didn’t find it a very pleasurable experience.

‘You’ve got to drag me out to get me out these days, I’m quite happy staying in and seeing my kids.

‘The lifestyle we led when we were younger, half of it i can’t even remember.’

Meanwhile, the nuns of the Convent of the Sacred Heart in Norfolk were on the show to promote new Channel 5 series Bad Habits: Holy Orders, which sees them attempt to reform girls who have an insatiable appetite for partying.
