Hollyoaks are set to massively shake things up for Vicky Grant (Anya Lawrence) with an exciting new cast reveal.
David Joshua-Anthony, who portrays Andre, is set to throw a spanner in the works in the eponymous village and will drop the bombshell that he is Vicky’s half-sibling.
In scenes set to hit screens next month, the newcomer is quick to make a name for himself in the quaint Cheshire village.
Andre quickly befriends Dillion Ray (Nathaniel Dass) and his unaware sister Vicky in an secret attempt to reunite with his relative.
Dillion opens his home to Andre, welcoming him into the Maalik brood upon discovering the newcomer’s troubled family life.

But Vicky and Andre’s relationship proves to be quite awkward at first, with Vicky taking quite the fancy to Andre, in an embarrassing case of crossed wires.
Talking about his new role, actor David told The Metro: ‘Being welcomed into the Hollyoaks family has been amazing and I’m enjoying the process of playing Andre.
‘He is a kid who always thinks one step ahead of everyone else and is filled with so many thoughts and ideas.
‘I can’t wait to see what life in the village has in store for him.’
Before Andre makes his debut on the Channel 4 soap, Vicky rallies the troops in a protest to persuade Scott (Ross Adams) not to quit his position at the Youth Centre.
David is not the only new cast member in the village, as Hollyoaks have recently announced Isabelle Smith and Ryan Mulvey will be joining the roster as Darren Osborne’s twin – Frankie and Jack Junior.
This comes after Hollyoaks cast were reportedly planning to ‘quit the show’ following fears that the Channel 4 axe will leave jobs at risk in September.

The report comes after Channel 4 cancelled the soap from its regular 6:30pm TV schedule and switched to E4 for a scheduling switch-up.
According to The Sun, it sparked concern amongst the cast who are wondering if their role on the series will be safe.
A source said at the time: ‘Cast have been reassured that budgets will stay the same but a lot of people are worried.
‘A couple of key cast have quietly asked their agents to keep an eye out for new roles and shows they could appear on if things don’t work out at Hollyoaks
‘It’s made a lot of people nervous about job security – despite bosses insisting nobody’s job is at risk.’

Andre’s first episode of Hollyoaks will be available to stream on Channel 4 on Wednesday, December 6 and will be live on E4 on Thursday, December 7.
