Hollywood actor is accused of raping several women after luring them on dating sites using bizarre boast

Actor Gabriel Olds has been arrested and booked into jail on suspicion of rape.

The 52-year-old was charged with seven felony counts of sexual assault on July 19 after several women came forward with horrific stories of consensual dates turned violent.

The alleged crimes were said to have happened from 2013 all the way up to 2023, KTLA reported.

A graduate of Yale University, the women accused Olds, best known for playing a young Pat Robertson in the Oscar-winning film The Eyes of Tammy Faye, of using his Ivy League status combined with the cachet of being a Hollywood actor to get them into a vulnerable position.

‘Each victim reported that Olds lured them into a false sense of security during their initial encounters, then turned violent without seeking their consent,’ the Los Angeles Police Department said in a statement.

A 41-year-old woman was the first to report Olds to the police on January 19, 2023, claiming he raped her at her home in LA.

Two more women later came forward and made similar statements to law enforcement, saying their assaults happened as far back as 2013.

According to police, each of them described ‘consensual dating encounters that descended into violent sexual assault.’

Police added several women reported meeting Olds on dating apps in recent years, leading them to believe there are more victims.

All in all, police say they’ve identified three women who were assaulted by the actor, and two more who said they experienced less violent conduct.

Police said the actor’s MO was to lure women on dating apps by boasting about being a Yale graduate

‘We heard the same story again and again,’ said LAPD Detective Brent Hopkins.

‘Mr. Olds started off charming, but then used brutal violence to carry out these rapes. Some of these survivors suffered in silence for years before finding the strength to speak up. Now that he’s off the streets, we want to make sure everyone has a chance to be heard.’

Olds has 74 acting credits across numerous movies and TV shows dating back to the late 1980s.

He made appearances in episodes of ‘Party of Five’ and ‘The Mentalist.’
