Hollywood star Austin Butler is heading Down Under.
The award-winning American actor, 32, will jet in from the United States to attend the Australian premiere of his latest film, The Bikeriders.
This much-anticipated event is part of the Special Presentations strand of the Sydney Film Festival.
The red carpet will be rolled out at Sydney’s State Theatre on June 6, four weeks ahead of the film’s July 4 cinematic release.
Butler is no stranger to Australian fans and the local industry, thanks to his standout performance as Elvis Presley in Baz Luhrmann’s biopic, Elvis.

He spent considerable time in Australia while shooting the film on the Gold Coast and last visited for the premiere in 2022.
His portrayal of the King of Rock and Roll earned him a Golden Globe and a BAFTA, along with an Academy Award nomination.
This event marks yet another star-studded occasion for Sydney, following recent high-profile premieres featuring Chris Hemsworth, Anya Taylor-Joy, and George Miller for Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga, as well as Zendaya, Josh O’Connor, and Mike Faist for Challengers.

Butler’s career, which began with a role in Nickelodeon’s Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide in 2005, has seen him rise to prominence with notable performances in Once Upon A Time In Hollywood and the upcoming Dune: Part Two.
The Bikeriders, also featuring Norman Reedus, Tom Hardy, Jodie Comer, and Michael Shannon, delves into the gritty world of a fictional Chicago outlaw motorcycle club, The Vandals, set in the 1960s.
The film promises a thrilling ride through the tumultuous rise of the club, with Butler at the helm of its star-studded cast.
The Sydney Film Festival kicks off June 5th and will run until June 16th.
