Home and Away star Ada Nicodemou reveals she is bedridden with a numb leg and in ‘excruciating pain’ after SNEEZING: ‘I didn’t know it could do so much damage’
Ada Nicodemou has revealed that she has been left bedridden after injuring herself while sneezing.
In an Instagram Stories post, the Home and Away star explained she was about to leave for the gym on Thursday when she sneezed, and all hell broke loose.
The 45-year-old was instantly left in what she described as ‘excruciating pain’.

‘I couldn’t walk, couldn’t do anything, had to basically lay flat on my back,’ she said in the clip.
‘I have done something, I think I have a bulging disc, and I don’t know when it’s going to heal,’ Ada added.
A bulging disc refers to when the soft centre of a spinal disc pushes through the exterior casing.

It can cause pain in the back, buttocks and legs, as well as numbness, weakness and tingling.
Treatments include anti-inflammatory drugs, physical therapy, bed rest and braces.
The actress explained that she was spending her time in bed reading books as she recovers.
‘I have done something, I think I have a bulging disc, and I don’t know when it’s going to heal,’ Ada added
She wrote in a caption on Instagram: ‘Didn’t know a sneeze could cause so much damage. I’ve now been told I need to rest and take it easy till I heal.
‘Anyone suggest some books or TV shows for me? I need suggestions so I don’t go insane?’
Ada has played the character Leah Patterson on Home and Away since all the way back in 2000.
It’s unclear if her injury means she is taking time off work on the popular soap opera.
