Home and Away star Sophie Dillman reveals her New Year’s resolution as she hints at plans to leave the soap

Home and Away star Sophie Dillman has revealed her New Years resolution for 2023.

The actress, 29, told Yahoo on Saturday, she wants to find ‘joy’ and ‘focus on being happy’ in the coming year.

‘My New Year’s resolution is to find joy. I think next year I want to really focus on being happy, doing things that I love and doing things for myself,’ she said.

Sophie, who plays Ziggy Astoni on the soap, added she needs time to recharge after working though the pandemic.

‘After working so hard for so many years, I want to focus on me for bit,’ she added.

It follows rumours Sophie and her on and off screen partner, Patrick O’Connor, are leaving the show.

A new group photo posted by Lynne McGranger teasing next season did not include the couple.

Lynne, who plays Irene on the Channel Seven show, told fans on her Instagram that the loved-up pair filmed their last scenes in August.

The actress was responding to comments after eagle-eyed followers noticed Sophie and Patrick were ‘missing’ from the cast photo.

Sharing the picture to her stories, Lynne could be seen posing with the show’s regulars and newcomer Kyle Shilling, who will be playing Mali Hudson.

Fans shared their disappointment on Lynne’s thread, with one writing: ‘Heartbroken that Dean and Ziggy have left,’ while another added: ‘Home and Away…[won’t] be the same without them.’

Channel Seven has yet to confirm the news of Sophie and Patrick departure.

Home and Away returns on Channel Seven on January 9 at 7pm.
