Just two months before popping the question, Todd praised Jordan during an interview with Daily Mail Australia.

‘She’s such an unbelievable mum. I’m so damn lucky,’ he said.

At the time, Todd also admitted he and Jordan weren’t ruling out the possibility of having more children one day.

‘It’s not out of the question, put it that way!’ Todd said.

The Vampire Diaries star added that fatherhood had changed him for the better.

‘The capacity for love and what love means is unbelievable. You think you know what love is and then you have a child and then you’re like “Oh my God, this is it”,’ he said.

‘The depth of emotion I start to feel as well is incredible. Especially for your work as well – as an actor it’s just like the golden ticket because you feel everything so much more intensely. It’s been beautiful on all fronts.’

Todd, who is now based in America, first met Jordan in 2015.

‘We met in Atlanta. She’s from Georgia,’ he said. ‘We were over there and literally by chance their group of friends were out and my group of friends were out and it just blossomed from there.’
