He’s set to replace the role of Pia Miller as Summer Bay’s new heartthrob on Home and Away.
And on Tuesday, Tim Franklin will make his acting debut as Colby – the show’s newest cop and love interest for former Bachelorette star Sam Frost.
In an interview with Confidential, the 27-year-old said that landing the role was a dream come true.
Throw us a paddle! Tim Franklin, 27, will make his acting debut as Summer Bay’s newest cop and heartthrob, Colby
In the lead up to tonight’s episode, Tim has been spotted on set, shirtless and working out with his bombshell personal trainer.
As to not punch above his weight (quite literally) and sway of the heart of Australia’s sweetheart Sam, Tim’s been upping his cardio in preparation for his highly anticipated shirtless scenes.
Pulling on a pair of boxing gloves, the actor was captured sweating up a storm ahead of his soon-to-air steamy romance with Sam Frost.
But acting wasn’t always on the cards for Tim, sharing: ‘I used to pretend to be a cop when I was a little kid and it’s funny now I do that for a living.’

One of many talents! ‘I was a little tall to join the circus; I wasn’t able to genetically pull it off, ‘ Tim says of his new acting role
With the intent to join the circus straight out of high school, Tim’s career was quickly redirected.
‘Every week my [high school drama teacher] and I would go to flying trapeze. I was a little tall to join the circus; I wasn’t able to genetically pull it off,’ he told Confidential.
‘But besides running away with the circus, I was always into acting straight out of school.’
Tim’s acting debut will hit television at 7:00 pm on Channel Seven tonight.
