Angelina said the plants she is giving away will be ‘easy care’ plants and will come with instructions to give them the best chance

Angelina told Femail her community in the inner west of Sydney has supported her and brought her happiness throughout her last six months in business.
So now she believes it is her turn to do the same.
‘I decided I wanted to buy plants and give them to people who are feeling lonely, or struggling through this lockdown,’ she said.
‘We are taking nominations. And want people to let us know if they know someone who is struggling or not doing too well right now,’ she said.
She has roped in James Stevens from Mr Roses, with whom she shares a warehouse, who will be donating some freshly chopped flowers to the cause.
The roses will add brightness and joy without the stress of trying to keep something alive.
Angelina said her community has given her love and support in her time as a small business owner so she is passing that kindness forward
Angelina also shared her top tips to giving a plant the best chance including not watering too much
Angelina, who has worked in horticulture for years says indoor plants, when looked after well can be a ‘long-term’ member of the family.
‘If you look after them and keep them in a good position and repot them every year there is no reason you won’t have your plant for ten years,’ she said.
‘A lot of people over water them, they only need to be watered once a month in winter,’ she said.
Angelina will be delivering most of the plants herself and also opening her warehouse on a date to be announced next week.
The plant stylist said plants should live comfortable for a decade if they are cared for correctly
‘That way if people feel they need a plant they can come grab one without having to be nominated. It will be open to everyone who feels they need some cheering up,’ she said.
‘We won’t ask any questions,’ she said.
The plants will be ‘easy care varieties like peace lilies and succulents, she revealed.
‘I am shopping for them right now,’ she said excitedly.
Angelina said having plants inside can help people feel calm.
The plant stylist opened her business, Porch envy, six months ago after deciding to take her hobby on as a full-time business.
