‘Add several ice cubes to your load,’ she said.

‘The heat from the dryer would cause the ice cubes to melt and in turn create steam. Your items will come out crease free,’ she said.

She then showed off a smooth bedspread, t-shirt and dress to prove the effectiveness of the hack.

‘It is ideal for those times when you’re in a rush to get out the door,’ she added.

The video has been seen more than 50,000 times, delighting the popular homemaker’s fans.

‘I actually tried this, and it works!’ one woman wrote on the video.

Liz went on to clarify the ice should be placed in the machine with a dry load of washing, not in the first drying cycle.

‘You do it with dry sheets, just like with your ironing,’ she said.

While others promised to try it immediately.

‘Here’s me wanting to wash the dreadful duvet cover again just to avoid ironing. it’s my favourite set but all favouritism goes out the window when I see those creases,’ one woman said.

Another joked she wouldn’t be trying the trick but thanks the content creator for the reminder to fill up her ice tray.
