Homes Under The Hammer star Martel Maxwell was left confused after a buyer on the BBC programme refused to reveal their property transformation in a show first.

During Friday’s episode, the camera crew visited a Victorian terraced two-bedroom property in Walton.

The presenter looked around the historic home, which was about to go to auction with a guide price of £30,000.

Boasting a big bay window and a stunning original fireplace, the property had some great features, despite needing a lot of work to get it up to scratch.

Whoever made the purchase would need to strip out the upstairs bathroom and kitchen, as well as sort out other problems including a mould issue and giving the place a fresh lick of paint.

Homes Under The Hammer star Martel Maxwell was left confused after a buyer on the BBC programme refused to reveal their property transformation in a show first.

A man called Mustafa bagged the property for a price of £68,000, but bizarrely refused to reveal what his renovation plans were

A man called Mustafa bagged the property for a price of £68,000, but bizarrely refused to reveal what his renovation plans were.

‘So with this property, what is the plan here?’ asked presenter Martel, which follows the usual format of the programme.

The buyer strangely revealed: ‘As you can see the property needs a lot of doing, we will do lots of work – some of which I am not going to say.

‘I have already decided what I am going to do, but when you come back you will be surprised.’

Visibly shocked, Martel hit back with: ‘Oh you tease! What do you mean you are not going to tell me? Why are you not going to tell me?’

‘I always work silent, as soon as I get a property I know what I am doing and I do my plan,’ continued Mustafa.

Seemingly growing frustrated, the host quizzed the buyer on whether he had seen the programme before.

She swiped: ‘You have seen Hammer before? So you know I come in and I say, ‘Hey, what are you doing with the house?’

‘And you say, ‘Oh I am going to convert it into a three-bed or I am going to move the bathroom down here.’ But you’re not going to tell me?’

Standing his ground, the new homeowner responded: ‘No, I am not going to tell you’.

Martel admitted that his unique choice was a Homes Under The Hammer ‘first,’ adding: ‘This is the first time I have spoken to an owner who knows exactly what he is going to do, but you are not telling me.’

But, Martel did get to see the Victorian home post-completion, as promised by Mustafa.

She returned after a few months to find out what the cryptic buyer had been up to and was thrilled with what she found.

Mustafa had forked out £18,000 to add an extra bedroom and a variety of new features and decorations.

He planned to rent the property, which was now valued at £130,000, giving him a profit of more than £40,000 before tax.
