CCTV has captured the moment a young Uber Eats delivery cyclist was struck and dragged 100 metres along the road in a horrifying hit-and-run.

Haveera Morgado is in hospital in a serious but stable condition after suffering extensive injuries while delivery food in the Perth suburb of Carlisle on Sunday night.

The 23-year-old was hit by a car while riding her bike on Bishopsgate Street at the Oats Street roundabout shortly after 9pm.

A police hunt is underway to find the vehicle, described by witnesses as a white Toyota LandCruiser four-wheel drive.

CCTV from a nearby home captured the moment Ms Morgado was struck from behind and became pinned underneath the vehicle as it mounted the kerb.

She was dragged along the road 100 metres before the driver reversed over the badly injured woman and sped off without stopping.

Witnesses described the incident as horrible.

‘I don’t know how anyone could do that to someone,’ Isabella Lee told Nine News

‘I heard a girl screaming and then I looked though my window and saw a large white vehicle, I think a LandCruiser. I saw the girl on the floor all grazed up and all her clothes were ripped. It was a huge shock, especially being in front of my house.’

Originally from Chile, Ms Morgado is expected to spend at least several days in Royal Perth Hospital’s trauma unit.

Major crash investigators spent Monday at the crash scene reviewing CCTV and speaking to witnesses. 

Police have appealed for the driver to hand themselves in.
