A fan at a Pittsburgh Pirates game fell over the right field wall on Wednesday night in a terrifying scene.

Video posted to social media shows the fan leaning over the railing several rows above the outfield wall – said to be higher than 20 feet – before plummeting onto the warning track.

The fan flipped while in the air before landing on their head.

Following the scary fall, medics rushed over with a stretcher as the fan laid on the ground.

Another photo posted to social media also appears to show that another fan followed the fall victim onto the field.

Pirates icon Andrew McCutchen could be seen with his head in his hands in the immediate aftermath of the incident.
