A horrifying video caught on a bystander’s dash cam shows a dog being dragged behind a car in Hawaii for at least two blocks.
YouTube user Johnny Chang recorded the terrifying clip on Friday in Honolulu and posted it the same day.
The dog can be seen at the end of short clip standing and walking on its own.

The 40-second video starts with two pedestrians crossing in front of Chang’s vehicle at an intersection.
Once they clear the frame, Chang pulls up just a bit and comes to a stop as an SUV rolls into view.
As the vehicle speeds by it becomes apparent that something is being dragged behind it, tied to what appears to be a leash.

A person on a bicycle is shown moving toward Chang’s vehicle from the opposite side of the road, clearly looking to the left as the other vehicle drives on.
After a moment, Chang’s vehicle turns right in the same direction the other vehicle went.
First driving slowly, he picks up speed to catch up with the driver.
Chang quickly travels two blocks before ending up directly behind the other vehicle.

For some reason, the SUV starts moving again, and veers slightly to the right as the dog continues to be dragged behind it
As his car comes to stop behind the stopped SUV, you can see the item being dragged was a dog.

Before the clip ends, another woman is shown running up to the scene where the vehicle stopped, with the dog still tied to the rear of the SUV.
