An elderly woman has been found dead and her partner rushed to hospital after a neighbour saw two people lying motionless inside a house.
Police were called to conduct a welfare check at a home in Varsity Lakes, on the Gold Coast, on Thursday at 1.30pm.
Officers found the woman’s body and her partner clinging to life.
The elderly woman was pronounced dead at the scene while paramedics rushed the man to hospital.
