Horror as motorcyclist dies after crashing into a bus near a busy Sydney intersection, sparking traffic chaos

A motorcyclist has died after colliding with a bus at a busy Sydney intersection which has caused road closures and led to traffic chaos. 

Emergency services raced to the scene of the collsion at the intersection of Alison Rd and Doncaster Ave in Kensington at 3pm on Friday.

The motorbike rider aged in his 20s, was treated at the scene by paramedics before being rushed to hospital in a critical condition where he later died. 

The female bus driver, 34,  escaped the crash uninjured and was taken to hospital for mandatory testing

Multiple roads have been closed as emergency responders clear the crash scene and launch an investigation.   

‘A crime scene has been established and an investigation is underway into the circumstances surrounding this crash,’  NSW Police said.

A report will be prepared for the coroner. 

Motorists have been urged to avoid the area.

All lanes heading east on Alison Road have been closed between Anzac Parade and Darley Road.

All lanes heading west on Alison Rd between Doncaster Avenue and Anzac Parade are also closed.

The north portion of Doncaster Road has been completely shut off. 

Traffic had been heavy prior to the crash and motorists should allow extra time for their commute through the area, Transport for NSW said. 

Anyone with dashcam footage of the crash has been urged to contact police.
