Horror workplace accident in Australia: Man fighting for life

A man has been left fighting for life after becoming wedged between a scissorlift and a wall in a horror workplace accident. 

The man in his 60s was critically injured at a workplace on Torch Street in Ipswich, southeast Queensland, just before 7am on Thursday. 

He was rushed to Princess Alexandra Hospital where he is being treated for life-threatening injuries to his abdomen, chest and head. 

The incident is believed to have taken place near the entrance of Ipswich Girls’ Grammar School on the corner of Chermside Road and Queen Victoria Parade.

The scene was described as ‘horrific’ by staff, the Courier Mail reports.
