An extravagant home in Sydney’s lower north shore has sold for more than $5 million at auction for its stunning waterfront views, wraparound entertaining areas and enviable position.
The property comes complete with an extensive list of luxurious features, but the one thing it doesn’t have is parking.
However, that didn’t stop one buyer from paying $5.02 million for the three-bedroom Bay St home which has a ferry wharf on its doorstep.
Listed by Nigel Mukhi and Peter Chauncy of McGrath Neutral Bay, the home was the first sale of its street for the year.

The sale was also the highest selling auctioned property from the lower north shore area for the week.
More than 130 prospective buyers were attracted to the property, which spans across 940sq m, during its selling campaign.
With a price guide of $4.5 million, two of the three registered parties bidded in $100,000 increments.

The price was well justified according to Mr Mukhi, who told realestate.com.au: ‘Given it’s a waterfront property on a level block and positioned by itself, the location is magic.’
Buyers reportedly hailed from the northern districts and plan to renovate by adding an extra storey and three-car garage.
An application for the changes will need to be approved before the renovation can go ahead.
