Texans wide receiver Tank Dell was the victim of a shooting on Saturday night, according to the team.

The 24-year-old sustained a ‘minor’ wound after an incident in Sanford, Florida, before being released from the hospital.

The team said that Dell is in ‘good spirits’ following the harrowing ordeal.

‘We are in contact with him and his family and will provide more updates when appropriate but we ask that you please respect his privacy at this time,’ the team wrote in a statement posted to X. 

‘Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone involved in the incident.’

As reported by, FOX35 in Orlando, a 16-year-old is in custody over the apparent shooting.

Ten people were reportedly shot during a Cabana Live Event, the station said, citing the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office

The shooting reportedly happened shortly after midnight, with the aforementioned 16-year-old later arrested for attempted homicide, discharging a firearm on public property, display and use of a firearm during the commission of a felony, and possession of a firearm by a minor.
