A Kmart shopper has transformed the look of her entire bedroom using a $29 rug from the retailer.
Rose, from Queensland, bought the herringbone natural rug to create a bedhead for her king-sized bed and shared the finished look to a popular Facebook group.
The rug fit her bed perfectly and the end result added a touch of style to the bedroom.
The savvy home project would’ve saved Rose hundreds of dollars as king bed frames with bedheads are often expensive purchases.

Other social media users were quick to praise the ‘cheap and stylish’ DIY, with many saying it ‘looks great’.
The herringbone pattern and natural sandy colour matched Rose’s cushions flawlessly.
Rose also admitted she made the bed frame after a woman asked whether she built or bought it.
‘Made one using some cheap timber from Bunnings, all up $30 for timber and $29 for the mat equals a cheap and stylish bedhead,’ she said.

‘I had been looking at bedheads for a while and when I bought the bed cover, I loved the wooden buttons so wanted a natural looking bedhead to match,’ Rose told Yahoo Lifestyle.
‘When I saw the rug at Kmart, the idea for a timber frame just popped into my head. And the rest is history.’
