What’s been said?

Heading into the game, Arteta revealed that the defeat to Manchester City was a ‘reality check’ for his side.

‘The disappointment was across the club, from the supporters, players, staff’, Arteta said at his pre-match press conference.

‘It was a big night but we deserved to lose the game. It was a reality check for us and we need to step up to that level.

‘I am proud that everyone has worked to bring Champions League football back to this club. I would like to thank everyone to achieve this with five or six games to go. Everyone being disappointed is what we need to progress.

‘You have to recognise there is still work to do. We have to be humble, recognise what our weaknesses are and work to be better. But we also have many strengths and there are a lot of things we have done well over the last 10 months I think.

‘The title race is not in our hands anymore. What is in our hands is to try to win the games we have left and the rest is down to City.’

Frank Lampard reveals that his side are currently low on confidence and low on performance

As for Chelsea, Lampard was asked his thoughts on what the current situation in the dressing room is like.

‘They’re low on confidence and low on performance’, Lampard said at his pre-match press conference.

‘I’ve been here in periods where confidence is low. In history we managed to get it back through hard work, level of the squad, we changed manager a lot.

‘It’s different now in terms of the modern player and what expectations are.

‘You shouldn’t be talking about team confidence but it’s clearly an issue at the minute.’

Prediction

Arsenal will be looking to come out guns blazing in the clash with Chelsea as they look to move back to the top of the table.

The likes of Jesus, Saka and Odegaard have the ability to cause Chelsea’s defence a few problems.

Chelsea have struggled to find the back of the net all season. Their top scorer so far is Havertz, who has scored nine in all competitions.

It is difficult to see where the goals will come from when they face Arsenal, with Lampard likely to name two attackers maximum in his starting eleven.

Prediction: 2-0 Arsenal
