How Married At First Sight stars are desperately clinging to their 15 minutes of fame

The finale of Married At First Sight aired in March and it seems the stars of the show are desperately trying to hold onto their reality TV fame.

From staging paparazzi photos to teasing fake announcements and hiring publicists, some of the former brides and grooms are attempting to stay in the spotlight.

Daily Mail Australia takes a look at some of the latest attempts from the likes of Nasser Sultan, Sean Thomsen and Tracey Jewel.

Nasser became a bit of a hit with fans after the finale of the show, after his ‘#coconutoil’ dig at co-star Davina Rankin.

Since then, the personal trainer-turned beauty blogger often makes fun of the catchphrase and shares his beauty routine online.

However he left fans unimpressed when he was spotted at Sydney’s iconic Bondi Beach, charging fans $1 for a selfie.

Afterwards, Nasser told Daily Mail Australia: ‘It’s a Nasser thing! We’ve all got bills to pay.’

He later took to Instagram that it was all a ‘prank’ and asserted ‘we are not famous,’ saying most of his co-stars are charging for meet and greets and club appearances.

He said he wanted to see if fans would really pay to meet a MAFS star.

After his Bondi selfie escapade, Nasser ranted on KIIS FM’s Kyle and Jackie O that he was ‘blacklisted’ by Channel Nine and ranted that he wasn’t invited to the Logie Awards.

‘After the last radio interview here, I had a text from the publicity of Channel Nine saying, “Just for your information, Channel Nine doesn’t want to have anything to do with you,” he told Kyle and Jackie O.

Mother-of-one Tracey teased fans last month by promising to tell her side of the story of the MAFS cheating scandal, only to be met with claims she’s ‘pathetic’ by fans.

She had shared to Instagram a split-screen photo of herself with ‘ex-husband’ Dean Wells and cheekily wrote: ‘I’ve been waiting a long time for this and there’s a few misconceptions out there as people tend to judge others. On Saturday my version of the story unfolds. Stay tuned!!’

However, several of the star’s followers seemed to have reached their limit with Tracey’s antics.

‘How pathetic, sounds like someone is looking for another cash out,’ one railed in the comments section of the post.

‘She’s an attention seeking drama queen who is hurting other people out of bitterness’, another blasted.

A fellow follower savagely summed up, writing: ‘I don’t think anyone actually cares lol’.

However, there were still several fans who flocked to Tracey’s defense.

It was soon revealed that she was promoted a gaming app.

Tracey – who is believed to be paying celebrity agent Max Markson over $2,000 a month to ‘turn her into Australia’s new sweetheart’ – has also been busy promoting her new books.

She however suffered a lucklustre Sydney book launch earlier this month, with barely a turn out.

This week, Tracey did an interview with WHO magazine and posed up with her new boyfriend Patrick Kedemos, denying that she cheated on Sean Thomsen and Dean after a tight turn around in her relationships.
