And now, it appears Meghan Markle has been taking more style tips from John F Kennedy Jr’s wife, after it emerged that the outfit she wore for her first royal walkabout on Friday was strikingly similar to one previously worn by the style icon.
The actress, 36, opted for a full-length camel skirt by British brand Joseph for her first official engagement with Prince Harry, which she teamed with a classic black polo top.
Meanwhile, Carolyn, who was 30 at the time, previously wore a black jumper with camel skirt when leaving her Tribeca apartment with her then new husband in 1996.

It has since emerged that the ensemble is strikingly similar to one worn by John F Kennedy Jr’s wife Carolyn Bessette
She opted for brown leather boots to finish her chic ensemble, while Meghan similar donned a pair of knee-high boots in Nottingham on Friday.
It’s not the first time that newly-engaged Meghan has seemingly taken inspiration from the American socialite’s wardrobe.
The Suits star echoed one of her previous outfits with her oversized white shirt and jeans combination for another high-profile appearance with Harry at the Invictus Games, as well as wearing a black dress to Wimbledon featuring a very similar neckline to one donned by Carolyn.
It comes after Meghan previously cited the minimalist white gown worn by JFK Jr’s wife on her wedding day in 1996 as her all-time favourite celebrity wedding dress.

The classic dress worn by John F. Kennedy Jr’s bride was designed by American designer Narciso Rodriguez, who was little known at the time, suggesting he could potentially be in the running to design Meghan’s own gown.
Speaking to Glamour before she emerged as Prince Harry’s girlfriend, she called Carolyn’s wedding dress as her ‘everything goals’.
Describing her dream dress, Meghan added: ‘Classic and simple is the name of the game, perhaps with a modern twist.
The actress also listed some of her favourite wedding dress labels, including French designer Delphine Manivet and Greek-based designer Christos Costarellos.
