A young woman has captured the terrifying moment a male Uber driver relentlessly propositioned her for sex during an hour-long ride to her friend’s house.

The passenger, from Adelaide, uploaded a video to Tik Tok on Tuesday night which showed her sitting uncomfortably in the front seat of the car while the driver, whose face was not shown, asked her if she wanted to go to his place.

The 21-year-old repeatedly declined his advances, and explained in the comments that she stayed calm and didn’t show her frustration because she was terrified of being assaulted.

‘So, do you want to go now or not?’ the driver asked.

‘Go where?’ she replied.

‘To my place,’ he said.

The confused woman declined and said she was on the way to her friend’s house.

At first, he insisted the detour would take ‘just a few minutes’, but he quickly changed his mind and asked her to accompany him home for an hour.

She refused again and said she did not want to cheat on her boyfriend, but the driver didn’t want to take ‘no’ for an answer.

‘Okay. Not even once?’ he asked.

‘I’m too loyal,’ she said.

‘Not even half?’ he probed.

When she asked what ‘half’ meant, the driver replied: ‘Half means half. Like a blowjob or something.’

In the footage, the young woman could be seen leaning on the window, shaking her head in frustration and rolling he eyes.

‘So no chances?’ he tried.

‘Probably not,’ she answered.

In a text box on the video, she wrote, ‘this is why you don’t get into an Uber by yourself’, and explained it was the last time she would accept a life from the ‘weird’ driver.

She explained in the caption that she has received multiple lifts from the same man in the past and was surprised by his behaviour.

During their first meeting, he gave her his number and offered her a cheaper fare because the hour-long ride to see her boyfriend was expensive.

She also said he ‘seemed very genuine’ at first and told her all about his girlfriend.

Horrified viewers flocked to the comments section to ask if she was okay and offer safety advice.

‘All respect, but you shouldn’t have been so nice to him. He just took advantage of your kindness and kept going,’ one woman wrote.

She replied: ‘I’m not going to be rude to him. I was an hour away from where I needed to go and I didn’t want to be assaulted.’

The commenter replied ‘yeah fair enough’, while others launched to her defence.

‘You did the right thing. You refused consistently and diffused the situation,’ someone else said.

Another woman wrote: ‘Never sit in the front.’

When another user asked whether she had reported the driver, she confirmed she made a complaint to Uber.

Daily Mail Australia has contacted Uber for comment.
