And Carrie Bickmore has now revealed exactly how she managed to keep her pregnancy under wraps for weeks while presenting The Project.

Carrie explained: ‘On The Project the desk comes right across my belly and I’ve slowly been lowering the chair a tiny bit.

‘And it’s funny because the floor staff keep saying “can you guys (the other presenters) lower your chair? I don’t know what’s happening but you’re so out of whack height wise with Carrie.”‘

She joked: ‘I’m there thinking, “Everyone knows that I’m going down, down, down as the weeks go on!” I thought soon it’ll just be my little head above the desk!’

The mother-of-two finally revealed a peek of her growing baby bump in an Instagram video taken of her celebrating the happy news with her colleagues at the Hit Network radio studios.

Carrie was seen showing off her blossoming belly in a clingy black dress as she danced around with her cheering colleagues, in a clip posted on the Carrie and Tommy show’s account.

Carrie announced her pregnancy via Instagram on Thursday, posting a sweet video featuring her partner Chris Walker, their daughter Evie, three, and her son Oliver, 11, from her first marriage to late husband Greg Lange.

Carrie filmed herself telling her two children, ‘there’s a baby in mummy’s tummy’.

Her daughter Evie’s reaction was priceless, with the little one asking her mother if she was having twins.

The cute youngster looked at Carrie’s stomach in disbelief, asking, ‘now?’ before adding, ‘Is it a boy or a girl?… Have you got twins?’

The soon-to-be big sister was overjoyed by the news, jumping about and laughing with a huge grin as she looked around at her parents.

‘Hey some exciting news to share with you. We are having a BABY. How funny is Evie asking if it’s twins. No honey it’s not twins!!!!!!’ Carrie wrote alongside her Instagram post.

Carrie’s new relationship with Chris came after incredible heartbreak for the TV star. She lost her husband of five years Greg to brain cancer in December 2010.

She previously told Woman’s Day that she and Chris ‘connected’ and bonded over both losing loved ones.

‘He lost his brother in a car accident,’ she revealed.

Attending the 2015 Logies with Chris, she dedicated her Gold Logie acceptance speech to her late husband, speaking about his battle with brain cancer.

‘He [Greg] was a great father and great husband. He wore lots of hats to hide his scars and I would tell him “don’t be embarrassed,”‘ she said.

She also promoted her charity ‘Carrie’s Beanies 4 Brain Cancer’ during the speech.

As of May this year, the blonde beauty has raised $4.5 million for brain cancer research from the sales of the beanies.

Carrie just recently gushed over her partner Chris in a column for Stellar Magazine.

‘He works hard, is hands-on with the kids, isn’t scared to cook (if you like sweet chilli sauce on everything), and will happily do the washing (he may accidentally machine wash your delicates) but, point is, he isn’t afraid to dig in,’ she wrote.

Despite the pair not being married, she said she calls his mother her ‘mother-in-law’, and praised her for becoming her ‘savior’ over the past few years.

‘She pops round with mountains of meals, will hang up the washing and looks after the kids. I can’t imagine what I would do without her,’ Carrie stated.

Carrie is yet to reveal how far along in her pregnancy she is with her third child. Daily Mail Australia has reached out for comment.
