An organisation queen has shared the formula for the ultimate kitchen spray that cuts through grease and grime in seconds, resulting in a sparkling clean kitchen.

Melbourne mum-of-two Chantel Mila, known as Mama Mila swears by vinegar, water, lemon juice, and dishwashing liquid to clean the surfaces on her kitchen including the stove and splash back areas.

She uses the spray on her stove and the backsplash mirror several times a week to keep it clean and safe from persistent stains.

In order to create the cleaning spray, Chantel adds 1 cup of white vinegar, ½ cup of water, 1 tbs lemon juice, and 1 tsp of dish soap to a spray bottle and shakes it until combined.

‘This is an acidic mix to tackle grease on stovetops and splash backs,’ she said.

She also added that while the smell of vinegar disappeared relatively quickly, some people might want to add a couple of drops of essential oils to the mix to remove the odour completely.

The spray is also safe to use on stainless steel surfaces and will not cause any staining.

Chantel also uses vinegar, water, and two tablespoons of vanilla extract in a spray bottle to clean her fridge.

She polishes each shelf, labelled tubs, crisper and side compartments to leave them clean.

‘The vanilla extract ensures no odours waft as food ages or seeps into cracks,’ she said.
