A new sushi making kit that’s landed in stores at Kmart has caught the attention of shoppers.

Priced at $10, the kit comes packed with everything you need to make perfectly formed sushi rolls – including a bamboo mat and a rice gadget.

A new $10 sushi making kit from Kmart has landed in stores and customers are already praising the buy online. A mum-of-three who bought the product shared how the device works in a now-viral TikTok video that’s been viewed more than 1.2 million times (pictured)

In the clip, the woman can be seen preparing sushi for her kids by filling both sides of the device with a layer of rice. 

A thin plastic pipe was used to press the rice down to make the perfect lining for the filling. 

Next, she carefully added a couple teaspoons of tuna followed by cucumber and avocado slices. 

The gadget was then closed onto itself and a sheet of nori was placed onto the bamboo mat. 

The pipe was then used to push the filling out of the cylindrical device and the mum rolled the sushi. 

She completed the preparation by slicing the rolls and adding a dollop of mayonnaise.

The short video received more than 1700 comments from others who seemed eager to buy the kit themselves. 

‘I need this on our house,’ one person wrote, another added: ‘Looks perfect and so easy!’ 

On Facebook Foodie Mumma Ren also shared news of the kit, and many said sushi can be made in minutes. 

‘I have one of these I bought years ago. They are wonderful,’ one woman wrote. 

Another added: ‘Bought the new Sushi maker, it’s so good. Made three rolls in like 10 minutes.’
