How to score double rewards points at Woolworths: Aussie dad share money-saving hack

Dad’s secret hack for scoring double Everyday Rewards points at Woolworths – and it won’t cost you a cent

  • Woolworths customer shared how to receive double rewards points
  • All you need to do is use a new feature on the free Everyday Rewards app

An Australian dad has shared a little-known tip for scoring double rewards points at Woolworths.

Shoppers can receive the extra bonus points by using a feature ‘Everyday Pay’ on the free Everyday Rewards app until March 31.

The dad, who goes by the TikTok handle @dadsmoneyhacks, posted a video sharing how to use the feature that won’t ‘cost you a thing’.

Everyday Pay is a digital wallet kept in the app on your phone that acts as a faster way to collect points and pay in-store using a QR code at the checkout.

When 2000 points have been collected customers will receive $10 off the next shop or can choose to convert it to Qantas points.

How to score double rewards points at Woolworths:

Download the Everyday Rewards app

Load your credit or debit card onto the app

Click on the ‘pay’ button on the bottom

Click the QR code button and scan the QR on the self-serve checkout screen or PIN Pad after scanning your items

After paying the points will automatically be loaded onto your account

This will only be available until March 31

When 2000 points have been collected customers will receive $10 off the next shop or can choose to convert it to Qantas points.

Points can be collected at both Woolworths and Big W

‘Customers who use the Everyday Rewards app can add their bank card details and gift cards to their Everyday Pay wallet to pay and collect Everyday Rewards points, via a single QR code scan, on their smartphone,’ a Woolworths spokesperson told FEMAIL.

‘To help our customers save even more at the checkout, Everyday Pay users will receive two times Everyday Rewards points on all transactions until the end of March.’

In the video the dad said: ‘What you do is you load your Everyday Rewards card in there and you load your credit or debit card – what you would normally pay with at Woolies with.

‘What’s then kinda useful is that you click on this QR button here, get to the checkout and you scan the checkout that you’re at and what it does is it preloads your Everyday Rewards card and when you’re finished, you hit pay and it automatically deducts from that card.

‘It’s kinda useful – it means you don’t have to fumble for your cards at the checkout – you just scan your phone and it does it all for you. So that part’s cool.

‘But the coolest thing is that right now, by paying that way at Woolworths, you’ll get double points on every single one of your shops.

‘So it doesn’t matter what you buy, whether it’s $10 or $100, it’s the easiest way to get double those rewards points and those $10 off vouchers faster.’

Everyday Pay from Everyday Rewards has been built by Wpay – the payments arm of Woolworths Group – and is one of the first digital wallets in Australia to support QR code payments.

The feature offers a quicker way to checkout at the registers rather than fumbling through wallets or pockets trying to look for the physical card.

It also combines payment and rewards in one for a smoother transaction process.

Everyday Rewards has more than 14 million members across Australia.

The video quickly caught the attention of others also wanting to save money at the supermarket.

In the comments some revealed other savvy money-saving tips.

‘They have 6x the point on gift cards. Buy a Woolies gift card, load it on everyday pay, and get all the points,’ one woman wrote.
