It’s one of the most popular banking apps around the world, but it appears that the HSBC app has gone down this morning.
According to Down Detector, the problems started at around 08:49 GMT, and are affecting users across Britain.
MailOnline attempted to access the app, are received an error message reading: ‘Service unavailable. This service is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later.’
HSBC has acknowledged the outage, and says it is ‘investigating as a matter of urgency’.
‘We understand some customers are having trouble accessing banking services as usual right now. We’re investigating this as a matter of urgency and will share an update as soon as possible,’ it posted on X (formerly Twitter).

So far, more than 4,077 issues have been logged on Down Detector.
Of those who reported problems, 64 per cent said they were having issues with mobile banking, while 21 per cent said it was online banking they were struggling with.
Meanwhile, the remaining 15 per cent said they were having problems with the mobile login.
