A French bulldog was caught looking extremely guilty after ripping open all the Christmas presents under his owner’s tree.  

Rebecca Hughes, from Edinburgh, had spent hours wrapping her presents in silver paper before placing them under her tree in preparation for the festive season.

But the following morning Ms Hughes was shocked to discover Hudson had ripped all her hard work to shreds. 

In a hilarious photo posted on Twitter, Ms Hughes points an accusing finger towards the devastation while Hudson looks up with puppy dog eyes.

Shards of silver paper can be seen strewn all over the living room floor as the naughty dog stands beside the mess. 

Ms Hughes uploaded the photo to Facebook with the caption: ‘The face of a dog who’s just ripped open every single present that you spent hours wrapping & putting under the tree last night Fml.’ 

Also uploading a picture of her dogs, one user responded: ‘Mine done the same, here they are looking not bothered.’ 

One Twitter user responded: ‘Aw look at him! He’s sorry!’ 

One user commented: ‘Look at his face though.’ 

Another Twitter user said: ‘Sorry but I gotta laugh. Love dogs’

This comes after Coronation Street star Tina O’brien posted a hilarious photo of her dog, Chase, looking guilty after ripping down her Christmas tree.

The final snap Tina uploaded shows the full extent of the damage with pine needles all over her grey carpet and a host of broken baubles.

The star, 35, uploaded the snap to her Instagram with the caption: ”I wasn’t me I swear’. Merry Christmas’.
