An 18-year-old woman approached the couple and asked them to stop.

It led to an argument and the teenager was insulted and hit in the face by the 36-year-old woman, police said.

She also attacked the teenager’s companion, a 19-year-old man, and hit him in the face.

When her 38-year-old partner began attacking the young man, another passenger held him down.

The two victims sustained bruises and scratches.

Meanwhile, the couple had initially fled the train platform but the police arrested the woman in the station building.

Her partner later turned himself in to the federal police.

The couple, who are both German, are being investigated for public nuisance and assault.

A public prosecutor ordered a medical blood sample after both refused a voluntary breath alcohol analysis. They were then released.
