A huge crash involving four vehicles has shut down lanes of traffic and caused peak hour chaos late on Friday afternoon.
The accident on Southern Cross Drive at Wentworth Avenue near Sydney Airport has created heavy traffic conditions on the Eastern Distributor.
Commuters are being warned to allow extra travel time and expect delays, as emergency services and a tow truck attend to the scene.
Traffic woes were compounded by two breakdowns, one near the Harbour Bridge at Milsons Point Station, and one on the Celveland Street Eastern Distributor off-ramp.
