Ripped Hugh Jackman braves the cold and strips off for a plunge in the ocean as the temperature drops to 2 degrees in New York
Hugh Jackman braved the cold for a very chilly dip in the ocean during a trip to The Hamptons on Sunday.
The X-Men actor, 54, looked to be in the best shape of his life as he stripped off for the swim.
Hugh, who keeps ripped for his Hollywood roles, joked about the water temperature after getting in.

‘Is it a polar bear plunge when the temp is 36 degrees (Fahrenheit)?’ he asked, rhetorically.
‘Either way I can tell you it felt absolutely freezing, yet completely amazing on my very sore Beth trained body.’
One photo showed him cheekily poking his tongue out, while in another he smiled while a third showed him in a robe with a towel around his neck.

It has been widely reported that cold water plunges can improve circulation, boost immunity, and increase energy.
It comes after Hugh and wife Deborra-Lee Furness spoke about their ‘very different’ ideas on parenting their two children: Oscar, 22, and Ava, 17.
Speaking to Radio Times this month, Hugh said: ‘You fall in love with someone and you work out your relationship, it’s great! All of a sudden, we had kids’.
‘The way I was parented, the way she was parented… all of a sudden… whoosh! And it wasn’t just Deb and I, it was somehow our pasts coming together’.
‘Either way I can tell you it felt absolutely freezing, yet completely amazing on my very sore Beth trained body,’ he added of the plunge
‘We had really different ideas about being a parent. And we never really pre-discussed it. We just assumed: we love each other, we don’t argue, that’s going to be fine!’.
Hugh and Deborah married just one year after meeting on the set of Australian drama, Corelli.
The actor previously said he knew he was going to spend the rest of his life with his beloved after just two weeks of knowing her.
Hugh went on to discuss his latest role in dark drama The Son and said it left him deeply affected, with even his children noticing the strain.

He revealed: ‘My wife said to me, ‘You’re the last person I would describe as a hot mess. But during this you have been a hot mess.’

Adding: ‘Both my kids would notice a difference [in me] for sure!’
