Eintracht Frankfurt striker Hugo Ekitike has hinted Manchester United would be his prefered destination this summer.

The Frenchman has enjoyed a breakthrough season in the Bundesliga, scoring 19 goals in 38 appearances across all competitions.

Arsenal, Liverpool and United are among some of the clubs reportedly keen on Ekiteke, with Frankfurt set to cash in on their prized asset.

And the 22-year-old hinted that a move to Old Trafford would be his preference in a recent YouTube video posted by Frankfurt.

When asked which club was his ‘favourite’ as a child he quickly responded ‘Manchester United’.

Ekitike joined Frankfurt on loan from PSG in January 2024 before the German side made a £13.2m deal permanent last summer.

The France Under-21 international impressed during the international break as he bagged a hat-trick against Lee Carsley’s U21 England side.

Ekitike still has four years remaining on a deal that sees him earn somewhere in the region of £50,000 a week week.

Mario Goetze recently said of his Frankfurt: ‘Ekitike has a skill that few players possess . He has dribbling skills, finishing, and speed. He’s an added value to the team.’

Ruben Amorim’s United are expected to sign a striker this summer amid their woes in attack this season.

Joshua Zirkzee has struggled since his £36.5million move from Atalanta, with the Dutchman scoring just three Premier League goals in 29 matches.

Similarly, Rasmus Hojlund has netted 3 goals in 24 appearances and ended a 21 match goal drought against Leicester.
